Mother?

Mother! A movie that has been said to be a must-see thriller. This movie is by no doubt a thriller but it is in no way a must see movie. From filmmaker Darren Aronofsky the film is about a couple's relationship that is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence. Mother! stars Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer in this riveting psychological thriller about love, devotion and sacrifice. This main synopsis of the movie could not get the story anymore wrong. What the synopsis should say is, A story about a psychotic writer and his devoted wife who try to live in peace but are disturbed by overly devoted fans and everything turns into hell. I’ve never seen a movie so all over the place, there was no storyline to follow. It was like the writers had five different ideas for a movie and decided to put them all together. Pretty sure the only thing I liked, except the cinematography, was the ending: because it w...

What could IT be?

IT...a movie most know for it’s horrifying clown. The movie that most likely generated the case of coulrophobia also known as the phobia of clowns. But how horrific is this movie really? IT has the ability to morph itself into whatever scares you the most. That is how it got the name of IT, since it was ...

What is IT that frightens you the most? Fear is the main component of all things horror. Whether it be a book, ghost story, movie, or even movie trailer the fear is what entices you. Every since I was a child I loved the feeling of my heart pounding while watching a movie. It gave me a sense of excitement that I would not have in daily life. Anything horror filled that void of wanting to experience pure fear. I know it sounds crazy like "Who wants to be afraid?" well I do. I always enjoy a movie that would keep me up at night, because that is a powerful thing. The ability for a fictional story to stay in my head and terrify me to the point that I just stare at the ceiling instead of sleeping. Any book, story, or movie that could do that I consistently appreciate because I am really not afraid of anything, so when something does horrify me I can appreciate it.    The most recent film I hoped to have given me that type of rush was the movie IT. IT is a remake o...
